I'm experiencing issues with my TMC2208 overheating with a 40mm fan in place, so I've decided to upgrade to the 90mm low-profile Noctua NF-A9x14 PWM. To do this, I needed to modify the electronics lid installed on the back of my Ender 3. I strengthened the lid to prevent it from bending under stress. To install the new fan, simply pass the fan cable through a suitable opening and connect it to the motor driver. Next, slide the lid into place and secure the fan in its designated position. For those who need to fine-tune their setup, I've included the f3d file used for my configuration. Note: My testing has only been done with the Noctua 14mm low-profile fan. Users should be cautious when using taller fans, as they may interfere with the bed leveling wheels.
