I've been using this setup for about a week now, and I've made some decisions. The smaller SLA-05 relay modules available on Amazon are extremely difficult to work with when trying to get 14awg wires from the PSU into their terminals. If you're planning a similar setup, it's definitely worth considering using the slightly larger module that has bigger terminals for the relay side. The Pi camera cable is still an issue for me at this point. I've got it running out the bottom of the case right now, which isn't ideal but seems to work okay. I might also add a spot for a second buck converter to use with a 12v Noctua fan, as my upgrade to the Mini E3 has made the fans on this device unbearable. This project is still a work in progress, but I thought I'd share it. It's a combination of a few ideas, thanks to TeachingTech for the basis and Michal_G. I merged their two designs together to fit my needs. The left case for the stock Melzi has been stripped down to include just the board mounts since I'll be using the SKR Mini E3. I added a second fan on this side at the bottom, with the idea of having it pull air out of the case to prevent hot air from venting onto the bed (this will need some testing to see if it's needed). The right case has been reworked to support the small 30a relays commonly found on Amazon, and just a single buck converter. My intention is to use the DCDCV5 addon for the SKR to power and control RGB LEDs, so I only need one buck down to power the Pi and the relay. Both lids have been reworked to add vents as far away from the fans as possible in hopes of air moving across the components. The right case lid has a gap in the back for an RPi camera cable, which I actually printed the wrong version of, so I don't know how well it lines up or fits. I'm still waiting on my components to arrive and will add some action shots when they do. Again, this design was pretty much done with my own needs in mind, but thought someone may benefit from it.
