Ender 3 Raspberry Pi 3 Case for Octoprint
thingiverse
Raspberry Pi 3 Case designed to perfectly fit the Ender 3 by combining all the essential features I was looking for. It provides access to GPIO, fan mounting holes, and large openings for larger overmolded connectors. The Pi can be easily slid out of the case without unbolting from the frame - simply remove cables and slide the assembly out of the main enclosure. This case also mounts securely to any frame rail extrusion with t-nuts. There are two versions of the mounting tray available. Version 1 features 4-40 holes for threading plain 4-40 screws directly into place. Version 2, known as the heat inserts version, is designed to have these inserts melted in. To acquire the heat inserts, visit https://www.mcmaster.com/93365A120-93365A120. To assemble the case, first select your preferred tray and attach the Pi. Next, snap the front panel over the connectors - this is an interference fit that should securely hold it in place. Finally, slide the assembly into the enclosure, ensuring a snug fit with the front panel lightly snapping into place to prevent the Pi from sliding out.
