Ender 3 Pro Z-Rod Knob With Locking Threads
thingiverse
I got fed up with knobs constantly wearing out and failing to engage the Z-Rod, so I created a new knob featuring a standard 8mm thread designed to provide a strong locking interference fit with the Z-Rod thread. To secure your Z-Rod, grasp it firmly with pliers or a similar tool, then twist the knob clockwise until it reaches its stopping point. It takes some elbow grease, but once in place, this setup will last indefinitely unless you decide to remove it. No more slipping off or coming loose when you try to use it. This design may interfere with your filament spool if you're running the stock spool holder configuration, but it won't be an issue if you've upgraded to a spool holder that centers the spool, like this fantastic ball-bearing spool holder: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4208201 Enjoy.
