Ender 3 Pro Z Axis Stepper Mount
thingiverse
I noticed that my Z-Axis was moving up and down with difficulty. Checking online on Thingiverse revealed a mount designed by Ross_K at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2752080. However, the printed tail pushed the stepper motor outwards, making things worse. I tried cutting off the tail and creating another version with a thickness closer to 10mm, which is similar to my original injected molded piece from my Ender 3 Pro (SainSmart 12/2019). Additionally, Ross_K's part differed in height, requiring me to shim the stepper motor below it. I suspect this discrepancy may be due to variations between the Ender 2, Ender 3, and Ender 3 Pro. I discovered that a simple fix was to limit movement to east-west only, so I designed a new part based on the original Ender 3 Pro injected molded piece, which I measured using a digital caliper.
