Ender 3 Pro Y-Axis Front Cover This is designed for the Ender 3 Pro and will not fit the standard Ender 3. This is my first remix/design on Thingiverse. The original version of this was recommended by several YouTubers and web sites. Kudos to da_syggy on a great design. I really liked the design but, when I loaded the original in Cura and tried to simply rotate it by 90° onto it's face, I saw that the design was off by a few degrees and not square to the build plate. I do realize that I could have used the "Select face to align with build plate" option in Cura to get it to lay flat but I was curious as to why it was off by a few degrees. I imported the STL into Sketchup to view the details and try to correct the orientation angle. After I loaded it, I realized that I wanted to clean up the model more than just adjusting the orientation angle. That was going to be too much work so I decided to start from scratch using the original v3 design and dimensions as a guide. This is the result. I made a few tweaks and design changes along the way resulting in slightly less filament used, slightly less time to print, and, hopefully, a better fit. It fits really well on my Ender 3 Pro and is easy to install and remove without breaking. No supports are needed when printed in the orientation of the STL. It would probably be stronger if printed with the flat face perpendicular to the build plate but I don't think that is necessary. Printing in that orientation will require supports and take more time. If you decide to do that, I recommend tree supports.
