Ender 3 Pro/V2 Z Motor Alignment Tool
thingiverse
Created this tool to basically check the alignment of my Z axis lead screw motor with the Z gantry. Some Ender 3 models came with ill fitting alignments and bent gantry mounts. I basically wanted to do more than eyeball the alignment to see how mine sat. Luckily my Ender 3 Pro and Ender 3 v2 were pretty dead on and I'm not having printing issues so was more of a verification for me but might be useful to someone. To use:Remove the top pinch bolt in the Z screw coupler on the motor and unscrew the Z screw out of the gantry.Remove the Z screw gantry bushing (watch out for the 4 lock washers, they are tiny)Screw this tool into the Z gantry using the screws you just removed, they should self tap.Lower the Z gantry down and hopefully the cup on the the bottom of the tool pretty much falls over the coupler, should be a tight fit but should slide over the coupler about half way.If it was pretty seamless I wouldn't mess with anything. If it wasn't you can try and loosen the 2 screws holding the z motor bracket to the upright and/or the screws holding the motor bracket to the motor. Add some shims or maybe print out a motor mount that allows some alignment modification. (Should do this first I guess LOL)Reverse to put it all back together.Hope this all made sense :)
