Ender 3 / Pro / V2 Z axis motor mount larger coupling
thingiverse
Really liked the original, but the double diaphragm flex coupling I ordered had too large an OD to fit. Made the cylindrical cutout 28mm diameter centered on the motor shaft, and nipped off the top of the angle to save a touch of filament and prevent ugly top corner layers. As stated in the original, watch out for elephant's foot and any boogers (my settings introduced a couple artifacts in the t-slot grooves that I needed to clean up). It is a tight fit, but it lined my z rod up perfectly and is much more stable than the original. don't forget you can tweak the nut on the gantry (the screws go through slots) to fine tune the rod and really nail the alignment. --Please note, I have tested this design on one printer with apparently a different design to the gantry brackets (or perhaps they were installed upside down - have not had an opportunity to return and check this printer), and the lower roller on the z motor side impacted the bracket. We were able to work around this by backing off the bed a bit and still had ok support from the upgraded yellow springs. The next time I have a chance to check it again, I'll try to figure out what is going on and may update the design to support this other Ender 3 Pro configuration. Sorry if this has caused anyone a problem.
