Ender 3 Pro Tool Tray
thingiverse
Decided to design and build my own Ender 3 PRO tray, unsure if it would fit the non-pro model since the Y-axis extrusions differ. Frustrated that no "pro" specific trays were available that impressed me. Wanted a tray that could be installed without disassembling the Y-axis or removing the LCD, requiring minimal support and print time. Also sought a design that would slide forward and backward to match the printer's lines, providing easier access. The tray should also wrap slightly under the Y-axis to accommodate the side cutters while avoiding fan intake for the control PCB. The walls are 1.6mm thick, which is sufficient; other designs I've seen were 3 to 4mm thick, unnecessary in my opinion. Approximately 100g of material is needed. The version shown in pictures is outdated; minor errors, such as the USB SD adapter holder being too high and interfering with the bed adjustment wheel, have been corrected. The uploaded STL file resolves this issue by lowering the holder. Additional features include radii and chamfers to strengthen weak areas. I'd appreciate it if you could share your prints of mk2! I didn't want to waste plastic printing another tray, as the first one was satisfactory. Included is the .ipt file for INVENTOR 2020, created by me.
