Ender 3 Pro spring based damper foot
thingiverse
These are spring-based vibration damper feet designed for the Ender 3 Pro, with compatibility assured for the Ender 3 as well. The larger case part is the lower section where two springs need to be placed. Once those springs are in place, the top part can be securely mounted on top of them. This upper part allows for the placement of a rubber foot specifically designed for the Ender 3 Pro. Although installing all four dampers proves challenging, it's definitely achievable. Some users might find it beneficial to add additional rubber feet below these dampers for added stability. However, for those with an anti-slip mat like myself, this step becomes unnecessary. To create these damper feet, you'll need to print both parts a total of four times and secure them using eight springs of the correct dimensions and strength. I recommend using Squik SC-18-026 springs (EAN: 0682604575667 / UPC: 682604575667) which can be easily found on Amazon along with their precise specifications. I intentionally designed the lower, outer part to be slightly wider than necessary. This intentional design allows for a small gap between the upper and lower parts of the damper foot, permitting the inner foot to move freely and minimizing noise caused by the feet themselves. As I continue testing this concept, my findings suggest that these dampers significantly reduce noise levels on my Ender 3 Pro. However, their impact on print results remains uncertain, especially when printing at higher speeds. This is why it's marked as a "work in progress." When observing the damper feet from above while the Ender is in operation, one can notice some movement. If you choose to create these dampers, I would greatly appreciate any feedback or experiences shared in the comments below. Thank you for your contributions.
