Ender 3 Pro SKR Mini E3 Case
thingiverse
I've been told by okalvo86 that stock z-axis cables are a couple of cm short. Take note before building, have a plan to extend or replace your cables if yours are too short. I wouldn't know, my cables were mangled when I got my printer so I made my own. STL thumbnails are no longer showing up, unsure what's going on. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd appreciate it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ EDIT 03-09-2020: A box for the Raspberry Pi 4 has been added. The fit of the Pi 4 in it hasn't been verified yet since I haven't printed it. Boxes for the Pi 3 and Pi 4 with the Pi shifted to the right side and a small cutout directly across from the USB power connector have also been added. This allows you to power the Pi from a wall wart instead of a buck converter, helpful for those without or unable to figure out a buck converter. EDIT 01-18-2020: The files for the newest version of the SKR Box have been uploaded. The need for any mounting hardware has been removed, it should snap into place and the 40x40 cover will help secure it in place. A version of the Raspberry Pi Box for the other side has been uploaded. This is still a work in progress so let me know if you encounter issues or find areas that don't fit properly. The lid for the Pi Box should be a mirror of the SKR Box lid, so I didn't upload an STL. The Pi box has mounting holes for two buck converters, one for using 12V Noctua fans and the other to power the Pi. In my setup, I'm using XT60 Y connectors bought on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0179IODB2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 The buck converters were also purchased on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01GJ0SC2C/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 A mosfet box is being worked on that will go in the back. The box will have an attached cable-chain option for the heatbed and space for a relay module to power the printer on and off. STEP files are included for people who wish to remix these parts. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ EDIT: A Raspberry Pi box with mounting locations for 2 buck converters and hopefully space for a relay module is being added. The relay may end up in the back near the mosfet case I'm making. A picture of the Pi Box so far has been added. This is for the Ender 3 Pro with the 40x40 extrusion on the Y axis. STEP files will be put up so people can remix it for the original Ender 3 if they'd like. I wanted a case for my Ender 3 Pro that would make the main board easily accessible and have the USB and SD card slot in the front, more forward than the stock case. This puts the SD card slot and USB forward of stock by ~50mm. This case has a sliding lid for easy access and a 40mm fan that draws air from underneath and ports it through the vents in the front and through the lid over the motor driver heatsinks. https://youtu.be/dkhMb8-rUpE
