This is a custom-made arm designed to mount a light bulb over the Ender 3 Pro (my printer of choice). It features a light socket component that can be sourced from Amazon using this link: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BLJH57Z/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1. I have a smart home setup using SmartThings, and I wanted to integrate my 3D printer with webhooks through OctoPrint. Mounting the light bulb on an arm seemed like a software-based solution that avoids LED strip installation or Raspberry Pi header modification. The printed part has some minor tolerance issues, so you might need to apply a -0.1 horizontal expansion to get it all to fit snugly. I plan to revisit and refine the tolerances in the future but have since moved on to other projects. For my arm design, I printed it sideways with 50% infill and skipped top and bottom layers. Alternatively, I attempted to model a similar design in Fusion 360 but encountered difficulties achieving an aesthetically pleasing result, so I opted for this approach instead.
