Ender 3 Pro LED Bar Holder
thingiverse
Scott's original design caught my eye. I really liked the idea of not putting LEDs in the V slots of the frame. That was just my preference. My issue was not being able to source his original light bar. Here is the one I used: https://www.ebay.com/itm/1-5-pcs-USB-5630-LED-Tube-Lamp-5V-2W-5W-7W-Hard-Strip-Light-Bar-4000K-Highlight/353158295131?hash=item5239dfee5b:g:0acAAOSw--1fJNcV I ordered the 35cm model. When it arrived, it did not work with the original design. The aluminum frame was too short. Time to remix. I extended the length to make up for the shorter frame. I enlarged the openings, as it seems the light bar I used is slightly taller. I also moved the wire hole to the bottom of the left cap. My main board has been moved to a rear enclosure and I liked how the wire routed better this way. I say main board because I am using the Neopixel header on an SKR Mini E3 V2.0 from BigTreeTech. That means it is always on, which is fine by me. I looped the wire to the back of the upright frame and hold it in place using 2 V-slot covers. WARNING: When you alter your printer's (or LED's) wiring, you do so at your own risk. Finally, I added an optional Duck Perch version of the right cap. If you have a BTT rubber duck he/she will have a great spot to safely monitor the progress of your prints.
