Do you 3D print in your room? Then chances are you print while you sleep, so the LCD screen keeps you up due to its brightness. I have the solution - a replacement case for the stock circuit board that mounts with original hardware. This custom-made case has a lid to close when not in use and fits snugly around the circuit board. To ensure a secure fit, line up the four screws correctly, but be careful when screwing them in. I recommend screwing in slowly halfway, then backing out and re-screwing into the plastic slowly. Do not over-tighten. The lid offers two options: Pin through hinge (open holes where you slide a pin through from the top like a door hinge) or Ball snap design, where the lid hinge snaps onto the LCD case with two balls. I advise against this method because it can dent the LCD case and requires less parts to print. It works but is difficult to remove. If printing white, use 100% infill; for any other color, use at least 50%. Multiple pins of various sizes are included for the pin-through design.
