ender 3 pro lack enclosure
thingiverse
I'm excited about the enclosure design for my Ender 3 Pro. I experimented with leg extensions printed from someone else's model, but they didn't quite work out due to a wobbly stand - a concern with curious kids who tend to touch things they shouldn't. The table material is quite thin, making screws prone to pulling out easily. To address this issue, I designed these new legs. They're slightly thicker than the actual tables at 0.04mm, measuring 105mm in length, and feature recessed areas for securing small steel washers. These washers will hold neo magnets against the plexiglass sides, allowing for easy removal of the enclosure. I printed these legs using Proto Pasta HTPLA with a 50% infill rate. Given the material's excellent layer adhesion and strength at higher temperatures, I believe a lower infill rate could work well too. However, supports are still necessary due to the bottom tabs, and a thicker raft is recommended to prevent warping of the sides. If anyone has suggestions for improvement, feel free to share your ideas.
