Ender 3 Pro Filament Guide and Cable Holder
thingiverse
After upgrading my grey metal extruder, I encountered underextrusion issues due to filament snagging on the extruder inlet. With my spool holder mounted on top, the filament had a sharp angle entering the inlet, which was likely due to my Ender 3/Pro setup. I appreciated the original design's use of PTFE tube as a guide and upgraded mine accordingly. Cutting a section from the stock tube greatly improved the transition into the inlet. I made several modifications to enhance functionality: * Increased the base height by 1.5mm, matching the grey metal extruder's higher inlet. * Moved the cable holder closer to the leadscrew to avoid interference with the extruder tension arm during filament loading/unloading. * Created a zip-tie cutout on the cable holder for better organization. * Enlarged the screw holes to accommodate my printer's specific needs, as the original screws wouldn't fit. For hassle-free installation: * Raise the gantry fully before removing leadscrew nut screws for improved access. * Avoid moving parts when uninstalling screws, as a washer between the nut and black gantry bracket can make realignment challenging if something gets displaced.
