Ender 3 / Pro & CR-10 Nozzel Heat Sink Fan Shroud (remix v1)
thingiverse
V6- I made some modifications to BeauSquire's original v1 design. I thickened it to .44in, which should have been done in the original file as well. This change allows for better airflow around the heat sink. I also opened up two air channels on either side that were previously just vents and embedded a Torus into the interior to maximize airflow and circulation. 5/1/2020: *V8- I updated my remix with supports on the tabs to prevent them from breaking off during installation. I also offset the torus towards the rear more to improve the vent structure. While making these changes, I increased the interior Torus by .015in to allow for even more airflow without compromising the integrity of the design. 5/5/2020: I updated the v8 file and reduced the x-axis of the Torus by .05 to eliminate surface artifacts appearing on both sides during printing. This should resolve the issue. I suggest using a 70* angled support structure setting that only touches the build plate to support the thin vents in v8, which resulted in a flawless print. I printed at 225c with a glass-bed temperature of 75c and a speed of 75mm/s at .2 layer height.
