Ender 3 Pro - C270 Webcam - Y-axis-Mount
thingiverse
Wanted to mount my Logitech C270 from the Y-Axis on my Creality Ender 3 Pro. (will not fit Ender 3) There are lots of other c270 mounts out there, but most require removing the factory monitor mount. I wanted to retain that. Or most require screwing into the ends of the bottom extrusion. I didn't want to do that either. The camera did require a small modification with a Dremel. Outlined below. It snaps on and off pretty easily but is still quite stable for timelapse. The webcam mount is friction-fit into the opening which could be dremeled slightly if you wanted a perfect fit. My tolerances aren't super tight yet, but I was still happy with the fit without modification. It did require two small modifications to the C270: 1. Part of the plastic on the bottom side of the built-in mount has to be dremeled or cut off. This allows the head of the camera to be pushed down lower (which results in a higher camera position) utilizing the stock monitor mount. There is a little restrictor on the main part of the camera but it will click nicely past it into a secure position so you don't have to worry about bumping that part. You do still have to worry about the folding portion of the factory camera mount. 2. It's needed a focus adjustment to hit the right part of the buildplate. So I followed this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v-gYgBeiOVI Feel free to remix. I hope this can help someone else out!
