Ender 3 Pro 3 pt level Y carriage with MGW15 C linear rail block
thingiverse
I've finally got everything sorted out, but unfortunately, I've lost about 20-30mm of Y travel in the process. This means I'll have to redesign the front Y idler from scratch. This is a Work-In-Progress (WIP) placeholder until everything is completed. To be honest, none of the existing linear rail mods for the Y axis impressed me. When upgrading my Tarantula, I considered using a wider rail - specifically an MGW 15 for the Y carriage. The block itself is wider and likely more stable than the standard MGN12 rail/block combination that most people use. Be prepared to sacrifice some Z height, as you'll need a new, longer belt along with custom printed parts and pulleys for both ends. You'll also require an end stop to complete the setup. The jig provided allows for drilling the 4x holes needed for the block. I'm using C-type blocks in this design.
