I acquired optical switches from Amazon, https://www.amazon.com/Optical-Endstop-Photoelectric-Control-Printer/dp/B07MFT8NWJ/ and needed a method to mount them on an Ender 3 Pro, After a great deal of searching, I finally found something close at https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/tool/ender-3-optical-endstop-z. Take note that this optical sensor is superior to the other sensor with the connector on the other side. It has a chip that makes the trigger cleaner and more accurate. A simple solution, but it needed a fair amount of revising to work with my switch and the BLV conversion kit. This will also work on an unmodified Ender 3. I've included two versions for mounting the switch inside (toward the bed) as I used it, and outside (away from the bed) as was the original switch. Install the appropriate activator so the tab overlaps the gantry support as pictured. Print the Activator in a dark filament as lighter or translucent filaments may not trigger the optical switch. Feel free to experiment. I modified the cable with a 2 pin JST connector to mate with the Z-Stop connector and a single Dupont connector to route to any available 5v source. For the 5v source on my BTT SKR Mini E3 logic board, I used pin 3 of the power 5vPSU jumper since I have the DCDC5V V1.0 module installed. You could also use pin 1 of the SPI connector located above the display connector (EXP1) since it's normally unpopulated. 9 Jan 2022: Added Activators with the tab extended by 5mm to aid in MECHANICAL_GANTRY_CALIBRATION, below the bed in Marlin.
