Ender 3 Motherboard cover for 70mm fan
thingiverse
Edit: Added an extra model with 5mm deeper fan mounting to ensure better clearance around the motherboard and doubled the number of vents for improved airflow, just in case it might cause any issues for users who print it. The original motherboard cover fan became unbearably loud, eclipsing even the printer's steppers as the loudest source. I had been looking for a larger fan that could run quietly and provide better cooling, so this was an opportunity to upgrade. With a collection of old PC fans from various sources over the years, I chose an old 70mm CPU fan from a stock AMD cooler. The fan fit perfectly in its new location. To keep the cables organized inside the motherboard enclosure, I zip-tied them together to prevent them from obstructing the fan's airflow. Since 70mm is roughly the maximum size that can fit without exposing the fan on top of the enclosure lid, this was a tight but workable solution.
