Ender 3 Mosquito Block Extra Slim
thingiverse
The main goal with this design was to create a simple, lightweight mount for the Mosquito that includes every feature while showcasing the gorgeous hotend. It is compatible with Hero Me Mounting options for BLTouch and EZABL, as well as other ender/creality systems with similar mounting systems. What you need: You only require couplers where the PTFE tube can pass through, so that the tube can guide the filament in the last few centimeters and a blower fan with a screw. The rest is either included with the Mosquito Hotend or can be reused from the ender. You may need to cut out a small piece of the hotend cooler fan on the lower left side which lies on the ender mount because the bearing screw sticks out too far. Part Cooling: The Part Cooling fan is currently a work in progress as it's only held by one screw and cools parts from one side. However, so far, if you tighten the screw firmly enough, I haven't experienced any issues and printed parts have had no cooling issues. On the main part, there are already mounts included for the more developed Part Cooling shroud. Hints: For assembly, be careful with your thermistor and sensor cables to avoid stressing them too much as they are prone to disconnect when stressed excessively!! I strongly advise using a hotend cable chain like: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3802593 Mounting: 1. Check if the bowden tube fits through the howl. If it doesn't, try expanding it slightly until it fits. 2. Connect the hotend to the block with the two included screws. 3. Screw in the coupler without applying too much pressure, or the block might break. 4. Insert the screws for mounting the block into the dedicated holes (it's a bit finicky but they should fit). 5. With Mosquito, there is a wrench included that fits the screws and can be used through the holes below the coupler on both sides. 6. After securing the block, you can add the two fans (add the fan shroud before adding the fan). 7. Now, add the thermistor first, followed by the heating cartridge and cable management. 8. Add your Autobedlevling if you have it; otherwise, still add the two screws. 9. Finished. Edit Notes V18: Adjusted orientation and scaling of the model
