I designed a custom case to meet my needs since none of the existing ones fit perfectly. I was particularly drawn to Michael Laws' (Teaching Tech) design, but it required significant modifications to suit my requirements. Specifically: * The board needed to be mounted upright for better access and visibility. * A top plate with easy access from above would simplify maintenance and upgrades. * I incorporated admodesi's Driver Duct (available on Thingiverse: 2792263) to efficiently cool the 2130s, noting that the original design doesn't account for SPI wiring. To resolve this issue, I added slots in my design, ensuring a flush fit between the duct and the board. * A Raspberry Pi would be co-housed within the case to run Octoprint, streamlining the printing process. A notable change was desoldering the MKS's USB-B connector and replacing it with a four-pin header. This allowed for a straightforward connection between the RPi using a simple ribbon cable. Attempting to use a traditional USB cable would necessitate an awkward 90-degree adapter or cable, given the compact design constraints.
