Ender 3 MKS Gen L Board Relocator/Adaptor
thingiverse
I am upgrading my main board and decided to move it out for better access and service. This upgrade takes Teaching Tech's idea to a new level by completely surrounding the board with an enclosure. The mount also accommodates the stock Ender3 board, using standoffs and bolts as needed. I have not tested this configuration but see no reason why it wouldn't work. I was frustrated by the lack of access to the main board. This upgrade gives me a chance to fix two problems at once. This project consists of three pieces: a mount that slides into the 4040 rail, a main case, and a cover. The files used for printing these items are included in this description. I have added these boards and boxes to both my Ender3s. New files include a 3.0 version of the box with four 4mm mounting holes on the back and another with a 20mm fan. A new cover is also available for this box. On February 19, 2019, at 12:15 CST, I modified the Case, Cover, and Mounting Bracket files to improve durability, reduce material use, and provide better wire access for ribbon cables to LCD displays on the 3.0 version. I have printed and mounted a 2.0 version on my Red Machine and a 3.0 version on the Blue Machine. However, I haven't tested whether the fans will fit in the 20mm versions since I don't have a 20mm fan. To keep the door closed tightly against the main body, I used small O-rings from my A/C stock that fit perfectly.
