Ender 3 Max bowden & wire support
thingiverse
My ender 3 max has been full of disappointments. First it came with all the eccentric wheels over tightened. Then the X gantry would droop, clogging the nozzle and giving horrible results (added a second Z axis stepper/screw to fix that). Then the heater died due to the wire breaking where it was connected to the heater (via a ferrule.. a very solid way to make a connection). Tracked that down to the design lacking a method to secure the wire buddle beyond just binding it to the bowden tube. It still flexes too much and breaks the connection to the heater. Hence this design. Print it, remove the two screws holding the fans to the print head, replace them with longer (M3x10 or M3x12) flat head screws. Screw this between the hot end bowden tube and wire bundle via the fan unit screws. Then take a zip tie to secure the bowden and wire bundle. No more flexing of the wire bundle, and no more breaking of the connection of the heater at the ferrule!
