Ender 3 Max 80mm silent cooling fan cover for motherboard
thingiverse
I just got a Ender 3 Max and the fan on the motherboard cover sounded like a Jet Engine. I copied it and replaced the fan with an 80mm silent fan. I also replaced the power supply fan with a 120mm fan so now the ONLY thing I hear is the extruder fans. I am not sure how to make those quieter but overall the printer is VERY quiet. Replaces the existing cover for the motherboard where the fan is on the bottom. I used a fan from Amazon. See:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B093WN2JDR/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 This fan is a 24V fan which is the same voltage as the smaller Creality fan. Has the same connector so no wiring needed! You will be able to use all the factory fasteners except for the screw that goes through the top cover. Use a very small sheet metal screw and drill an appropriate hole. Note: This may fit other Ender printers.
