Ender 3 Max 7530 fan adapter
thingiverse
I found that my Ender 3 Max hot-end was not getting enough air flow to print PETG. I decided to go the extreme overkill route. This adapter allows the installation of a 7530 24 volt blower fan. In order to install this you have to remove the old 40mm fan and the tack welded thread mounts and drill 4 holes. I also removed the target shaped fan guard for improved air flow. Included is two files, one holds the fan and is mounted to the outside of the metal cage, I printed this in PLA. The other file labeled "throat" goes on the inside of the metal cage and directs the air in and around the hot-end heat sink. I printed the throat out of PETG because it is very close to the hot-end and can get hot enough to soften PLA. The combination of using this cooling setup with a all metal hot-end and dual gear extruder completely fixed my heat creep problem.
