I required additional space for my Pin 27 board from the BLtouch 3Dtouch clone. The original Ender 3 mainboard cover wouldn't fit due to fan placement. I still wanted to retain the original metal part, so I modified zb3k's file and kept only the outer walls. You will need longer screws obviously.
