Ender 3 Magnetic LED Mount

This is a magnetic bracket for a Jerry NEBO LED flashlight so you can have it mounted over your print bed or just pop it off and use it as a flashlight. There isn't anything special about this light, I just got it for Christmas and have been using it while printing. This flashlight has a strong magnet hidden in the pocket clip so my bracket uses the shank of a 3/8 x 16 x 2 3/4 bolt to attach the light. See the pictures above and instructions below. The pocket clip is also captive in the bracket which keeps the flashlight from sliding back and forth while mounted. This will clear the Z axis, but cables will touch the light at the top of the Z axis. Instructions: 1. Print with supports to bed only to support the neck bolt not the inside features. 2. Print with the end face near the On/Off logo on the print bed (See photo). I like to use a brim since the face we are printing on has a radius on the edge but it probably isn't necessary. 3. Cut off 3/8 x 16 x 2 3/4 bolt head (see photo). I used a die grinder but you could also use a hack saw, CNC plasma table or a rusty pickle fork. 4. Around 80mm Z height, two notches will appear alongside the 11mm hole (see photo). These notches indicate that there is room to embed the bolt shank now. These notches are 10mm long to provide a window of time for you to see them and pause the print without having to stand over it the whole time. 5. This hole is double blind so the shank must be installed during printing. Pause the print, drop in the bolt shank, shank side down and put a glob of hot glue on top to keep the shank from moving around (See photo).
