Ender 3 Magnetic Bed Alignment Clips
thingiverse
I recently acquired a spring steel magnetic sheet for my Ender 3. The magnets are powerful enough to keep the build surface flat, but they aren't strong enough to prevent it from sliding around, so I created these small posts to stabilize it. Two posts are needed for the front and one for the back because the rear side has the wiring harness. You'll need to print them in a material that won't deform at your build plate's temperature. Since I only use my Ender 3 for PLA printing, which doesn't exceed 60C bed temp, I used carbon fiber filled PETG as it retains its shape well at this temperature. If you have a hotter bed, consider getting these posts machined or made from high-temperature materials. Print them first to ensure they fit properly. Note: It might work with a glass bed too, although I'm not familiar with using one on the Ender 3. If you try it and it works, please share your experience. A fellow maker successfully installed these posts on his Ender 3 Pro with the stock magnetic bed by cutting notches into the sheet to match its size. This modification worked out well for him. If you're planning to install them on an Ender 3 Pro, keep in mind this slight difference in sheet size.
