Ender 3 Maestro_mount
thingiverse
This adapter mounts a Duet Maestro control board in the Creality Ender 3 Pro enclosure. It likely fits both the Ender 3 and Pro models, although I have not verified this. The design features cutouts to facilitate cooling of driver chips on the back of the board if you decide to install a fan. There is barely enough space for the board to fit, but it does indeed fit. Installing the adapter will require creating openings in the front of the enclosure. It's suggested that a blower fan be mounted on top of the enclosure, flush with the surface and pulling air out (not in), which will prevent debris from entering the enclosure and eliminate the need for a screen. I printed mine using PETG for its heat resistance, but annealed HTPLA could also work well and provide added stiffness. The Duet Ethernet may also be compatible, although I do not have the necessary dimensions to confirm this. However, I highly doubt that the Duet WiFi will function properly inside a metal box if reliable signal reception is desired. Without running fans, the printer operates almost silently when driven by the Maestro board. Notably, the Maestro features even newer stepper chips than those found in the Ethernet and WiFi boards, but it does not include any installation hardware. Additionally, it is significantly cheaper than the other options.
