Ender 3 Light bars - Lights
thingiverse
This is a custom light bar setup designed specifically for the Ender 3. I deliberately chose this design because most of the standard light fixtures available for the Ender 3 either interfere with fan mounts or are themselves an obstruction for those mounts. This particular arrangement directs light from both below and to the sides, ensuring that you can always keep track of your print regardless of where the tray or head is positioned. You also retain full use of your fan mounts as a result. I opted to utilize 5630 white LEDs and connected them in series to the Ender 3's standard 24-volt power supply for maximum efficiency. To replicate the left side, simply mirror the bottom section within your slicer software. In order to prevent support structures from being generated, I printed this design in two distinct sections and then bonded them together using super glue. If you're interested in obtaining the uncut version of this file, please let me know and I'll be happy to upload it for your use. UPDATE 4/14/2019: Following several requests, I have now incorporated some clips into this design due to issues with the adhesive on the LED strips not adhering properly. To print these small clips accurately, I set my printer to its finest setting. It takes approximately five minutes to complete this process at such a high resolution. Once printed correctly, the clips will snap securely into place and stay firmly attached due to friction.
