Ender 3 LED Lightstrip Mount
thingiverse
I could not find any light strip holder that suits my taste and that I would find good enough. So I designed up this custom one for my personal education in FreeCAD and also to have a more even lighning on the Bed. I have made the LED strip head so that it's angle to bed is 15° which makes the shadow of the extruder to be even smaller and the print is more visible. The connector between head and mount is actually designed that way, that you could also mount the LED strip into the mount itself. To slice the head you need to angle it by 45° in the slicer to make it fit on the printer bed of the Ender 3. You could also print it upwards, but that would increase the time to print by 100% based on my PETG slicer settings. Fittings are quite narrow, so a little bit of manual cutting could be neccessary. Printing: You are going to need 2 - 3 Mounts for each head. If you want to have the light on both sides of the extruder and you are having the filament on top of the printer, then I wold suggest to print 5 mounts as on the backside you will get in the way of the filament with the middle mount. Printing itself is straight forward, nothing to consider of.
