Ender 3 LED Halo

Ender 3 LED Halo

I designed this LED "Halo" to support an LED light strip I found at Walmart. I used red GizmoDorks PLA.  With 10% infill it came out to about 105grams of plastic.  I used three shell layers.  Printed at 205/60 with the bed at 65C for the first layer.  No supports needed except tree supports for the locking cams and female dovetails.  Print with the top surface on the print bed since there is a slight angle to the underside.  Took me about 16 hours to print both sets with my current Cura profile.  I could fit both pairs on one print with some creative nesting.  Print two of each file, Male and Female.  Insert the end with the locking cam into the upper cross member of the Ender frame with the dovetail end pointing up then turn 90 degrees. The female half (left side) rotates clockwise 90 degrees.  Male half (right side) rotates counterclockwise 90 degrees.  The dovetail seats really nice to hold it all together.  The LED is around $13 and is simple to install onto the halo.  Here is the link to order online.  Just remove the adhesive backing from the LED strip and stick to the underside of the halo.  I made the halo just long enough to use two of the four strips that come in the box.  You can then plug the USB into the wall adapter or directly into your OctoPi as I did. Hope you like this as much as I do!  Please post pics of how this turns out if you print it!
