Ender 3 LCD cover with buttons
thingiverse
I wanted some buttons visible from behind the screen and added them to the back case of the lcd-cover. You will need 16mm buttons - I used R13-507 arcade buttons. Above the buttons, a label displays the functions I assigned to them (left to right): Lights, Pause, Abort, and PSU. Installing the buttons is challenging since you cannot rotate the nut freely, so you will need to turn the button instead of the nut. The picture shows the assembly without the lid - I accidentally broke it when removing it from the original back case. The version has been remixed which uses the stock screws of the Ender. Update 2020-04-10: It is unclear if people wanted this, but a decision was made to add two variations. Both are without the lid holder and one of them does not have text labels. If desired, maybe it will be possible to figure out how to export the design in Onshape so that the text labels (and the presence of the lid holder) can be edited in the Thingiverse customizer.
