Ender 3 Klicky Probe
thingiverse
This is a klicky probe for the Ender 3 V2. I was heavily inspired by the KlackEnder by KevinAkaSam (https://github.com/kevinakasam/KlackEnder-Probe). My printer has linear rails which prevented the KlackEnder from working with my setup. Also, I was unable to get consistent results with only 2 magnets and found 3 to be far better. This design is based on the UniTak3d Direct Drive Upgrade kit. It could work with other's but I am not sure. To assemble I used a M5 bolt through the carriage and X Axis Mount with a nut on the mount side. This prevents the mount from moving and greatly increases the accuracy of the probe. The Holder uses M5 bolts/T-nuts and mounts to the right gantry. It is a tight fit and you may need to take a file to some areas. The probe/mount uses 6ea 6x3mm magnets. I prefer to solder directly to the magnets and have not noticed a reduction in their performance. I set it up where the 2 magnets making the electrical connection are facing the same way and the 3rd magnet is oposite. The magnets do not sit flush and you should end up with about 2mm of space between the top of the probe and bottom of the mount. I used a JST connector to make the mount removable and simply superglued it to the mount. This could be done with dupont connectors or skipped altogether. There is also space to add a magnet to the holder which helps retain the probe when docked. I used the sexbolt endstop bracket by oldcrazyeye (https://github.com/oldcrazyeye/Auto-Z-Ender-3) and the Mellow sexbolt kit. The endstop allows the use of Protoloft's auto z calibration plugin. If there is interest I can share my macro's.
