Ender 3 Hotend Cover
thingiverse
Remake of NoComm's Ender 3 hotend cover that has more room for the Noctua 40x40x20 fan.The "screen" (Hotend cover 1-3) has 3 versions. Version 2 is what is on the yellow hotend cover. I printed them in silk silver until the later with the ring, then changed to copper silk copper. After it was finished, I used a blow dryer to heat the filament up, and pressed the back of a screwdriver handle against it until it was bowed out to my liking (works flat too). The "screens" go between the fan and the hotend cover like a gasket.I have only printed with PLA (200-220) and PETG 230-240) using this hotend cover. They haven't hurt the 3D Touch at all, but it might get a little toasty in there if you go for ABS. The fan pumps a lot of air through there. It keeps the 3D Touch and PLA cover from getting melty.I remixed it to hold my BL Touch Clone (3D Touch). I used erikpendragon's BL Touch spacer to get the distances correct (I ended up stretching the spacer to 8.5mm.Uses original Ender 3 fasteners, and 2 long 3M screws, nuts and washers,I used TinkerCad to edit NoComm's original stl.
