This part is design to direct the air flow to the heatsink of the hotend on Ender 3 and other similar model to provide better cooling and hence reduce chances of heat creep. It also prevents the fan from blowing directly to your printing part, this is helpful especially printing with ABS and other material that warp easily. It features simple design, no modification to the original fan housing. I printed this part with ABS without support and changed 3 screws to longer M3*12mm screw on the fan. Note: My printer has CR-touch installed so the original fan housing is spaced out a little bit so it is not too close to the heater block. But it is still be able to put on without the CR-touch bracket sitting behind. You might feel some resistance when putting back the fan housing to the hotend because of the heater wire, make some adjustment to the heater cartridge by unscrew it from the bottom, and then push the wire inwards and retighten the screw so it is not pushing the wire too hard.
