Ender 3 Glass Bed Corner Brush Holder
thingiverse
I wanted to incorporate a nozzle cleaning mechanism into my printer setup, especially since there are times when the nozzle gets pretty dirty. To make it easily accessible, I positioned it at the front of the bed, allowing the nozzle to reach it directly. Instead of designing a separate component, I decided to integrate the cleaning mechanism into one of the corner holders. This approach saved me from having to create an additional piece. I utilized mini-brushes from Home Depot (https://www.homedepot.com/p/HDX-Brass-Mini-Brushes-3-Pack-BMB3-HDX/206453088), which I already had on hand and can easily obtain more of if needed. Currently, the brush is mounted on the left side of the bed, but I also installed a duplicate on the right side, giving me flexibility to move it there later if preferred. I labeled this project as "work-in-progress" since I haven't yet uploaded the changes to my firmware to incorporate the G12 command into my start gcode. I added pictures showing the brush mounted on the right side. To be honest, I prefer having the brush located on the right side because it avoids obstructing the homing process. Additionally, I posted a video demonstrating the G12 P1 command, which was set up in Marlin to perform two passes and return to its previous position.
