Ender 3 Gantry Cable Clip
thingiverse
This is my debut in the world of 3D Printing and I'm rusty on modeling, so here's the first thing I've released with the hope that it eases someone else's frustrations with cables dragging on the bed. Designed in Fusion 360 in about 10 minutes, sliced with Cura 3.1.0, I created this to keep the hotend assembly cabling off my print bed and remove the weight of the cable from my PTFE tube on my Sainsmart Creality Ender 3. I use this along with johnniewhiskey's cable chain https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2920060, which holds the cables snug using the bottom of the extrusion for retention and is loose enough for the cable to move freely in the Y while clipping firmly to the extrusion and allowing the part to move freely in the X. I was able to print this with the following settings and it turned out well. My first print was at 40% fan and the part came out solid with a little warping on the overhang for the cable cradle. Printing with full support leaves the cable cradle a bit rough and the stock cable sheath hangs up on it a little bit. Material: PLA Color: Black Filament Maker: 3D Solutech Nozzle: .04 Layer Height: .24 Printing Temp: 200C Print Speed: 50mms Infill: Grid @ 10% Support: From bed only, Fan 100% - Full Support, Fan 40% Time to print: 30 minutes
