I scaled up this design to fit the spool holder that came with my Ender 3, using only printable parts - no glues or extra hardware needed, making it a cheap solution. You can find both the original and new files here. This upgrade has a 36.5mm hole through it and measures 90mm from base to end of spool. The thread width is approximately 46mm. My main goal was to create a design that would allow my spools to unwind more centrally, rather than eccentrically. Now, my spools are almost perfectly centered. This design also comes with an end-of-thread test piece, allowing you to verify the size and ensure it works well without having to print the entire thing.
