Ender-3 Filament Waste Squeegee

After upgrading my Ender-3 to direct drive, I discovered the X-axis had a bit of extra range to one side of the bed. I utilized this space to design a waste tray and squeegee that simplifies the priming process for the nozzle. No longer will you need to remove the excess plastic lines from the print bed after priming the nozzle. To use this upgrade, you'll require at least 248mm of range on your X-axis. Additionally, you'll need a piece of silicone for the squeegee part. I used a piece from an automotive detailing squeegee, but any piece around 2.75mm thick will suffice. I designed a simple mount to relocate the display. After installation, you can update your print starting G-code to clean the nozzle before printing.
