Ender 3 Filament Threader Guide: Streamlining the Feeding Process The filament threader guide is a must-have accessory for any Ender 3 user, designed to effortlessly thread filament into the feeder while minimizing friction during feed and retraction cycles. I've personally witnessed the devastating effects of excessive friction on my Ender 3's plastic block - a spool of PETG filament with ridges left an unsightly 2mm vertical slot in the filament feed hole. The guide features a precision-crafted curved section for threading in and a straight section for smooth exiting into the feeder's black plastic block. To install, simply remove the two small screws holding the Z rod block in place, then slide the filament threader guide into position. Ensure everything aligns perfectly before tightening those screws, but be cautious not to overtighten - lock washers are included to prevent any issues. After 3D printing the guide, carefully remove the built-in scaffolds using a wire cutter and/or small metal files. I've provided both STL file options: one with and one without the scaffolding for added flexibility. The PETG filament used in this design is robust enough to withstand threading even the most stubborn filaments like PLA and PETG.
