Ender 3 Filament Tensioner Clamp
cults3d
I've recently dived into the world of 3D printing and, likely due to my inexperience, find myself needing three hands to switch out the filament. Since I only have two, I decided to create a gag that keeps the tensioner loose. This leaves my hands available to push firmly against (and sometimes with great difficulty) the hole in the guide tube towards the extruder. The invention is secured to the motor of the tensor using one of its screws, and all that's required is swapping this out for another screw that's a little longer, such as an M3x14 mm. If you use a conical head, you won't encounter any issues since I've incorporated an internal bevel to accommodate the screw head. To tighten the spring lever, I used a M6x25 mm screw with a round Allen head. To avoid needing an Allen key, I added a supplement that fits perfectly into the head. It doesn't require glue; just a couple of hammer strikes and it's extremely secure.
