Ender 3 Filament Sensor (Remixed)
thingiverse
I've modified a previous filament runout sensor for the Ender 3 to suit my requirements. Utilizing the same "rail" principle as the original, this version requires only two M3 screws to secure the sensor from below. Additionally, consider using a small Bowden tube to guide the filament during the initial stages of printing. The corresponding F360 file is available for download and editing at https://a360.co/32MBMhZ. To set up the sensor, I've utilized the Filament Sensor NG plugin in Octoprint and connected my sensor to the GPIO 4+GND pin on my Raspberry Pi.
