Ender 3 Filament sensor assembly (using orginal Z endstop)
thingiverse
Update 28.06.2020: Improvements made to Z-Axis fixation fit better. Version 2 added to support full Aluminium MK8 extruder. An Ender 3 or possibly Ender Pro filament runout sensor is created using the original Z Axis Endstop, which is no longer required since BL-Touch is installed. Additional components needed: * Two M3 * 12 screws for Z-axis mounting (the original screws are too short) * Cable extension (dependent on your board) A recommended guide for firmware changes to enable the filament sensor can be found here: https://youtu.be/gwHpXaj_6xE I used an x endstop max connector, as it is the default defined filament sensor pin for the SKR v1.3 board. Holes require slight enhancement (3mm drill for Z-axis screws, 2.5 mm for board screws).
