The source part simply refused to fit my configuration, leaving me scratching my head as to why it wouldn't cooperate. A huge shout-out is due to baccula for creatively combining the filament guide and mount for the endstop switch - that was a real game-changer! My STL editing skills in Fusion 360 are still a work in progress, but I'm slowly getting the hang of it. The OEM file was carefully modeled after the Ender 3 f3d file from Creality's github. Whether or not it will fit on a stock machine remains to be seen - my own setup features an aftermarket aluminum extruder, and I made some tweaks to the OEM file to get everything lined up just so, with a slight offset to keep the filament safely away from the Z screw.
