Ender 3 Filament roller (remix)
thingiverse
UPDATE: After utilizing this solution for a while now, replacing drum roller bearings has eradicated all problems with jamming and HugoHuge's Filament Roller has proven to be the most effective 3D printed add-on for my Ender 3. This is a remake of HugoHuge's design for a filament roller using skateboard bearings. The primary holder was too large for the filament drums I use, so by utilizing Tinkercad, I reduced the main body and filled in the holes. I have included only the remake of the body, roller, and attachment choices printed from Hugo's original files. My drums feature an internal diameter of 44mm. Print it lying on its side; you might need to add touch build plate support and give it some decent infill for strength. It's a bit rough, as it was my first attempt at modifying someone else's design to suit my needs. I've had it in place for several weeks now and can't detect any weaknesses. It has certainly improved the printing process with no jams since then.
