Ender 3 Filament Roller

Ender 3 Filament Roller

I was unable to locate the bearings I needed for projects like this one, so I turned to some extra 1/4 inch slingshot ammo I had lying around from a previous use in Tulio's 3D printable marble maze on Thingiverse. I was eager to get started and decided to create my own roller for my Ender 3's filament spool holder instead. The design is specifically tailored to fit my eSun PETG spools perfectly, but I suspect that it can be adapted for wider spools like Hatchbox by printing three of the center spacers and only one of the end spacers. However, keep in mind that you may need to make some adjustments to the size of the end spacer. This roller features four channels with 18-19 balls each. The tops of the rollers face outward and are designed to be printed without any support. Initially, I didn't have a center spacer, but without it, the balls were moving around too much. On the other hand, the end spacers could potentially be made larger in diameter, but their current size allows me to easily slide the spool on without having to remove the end cap and the spacer. Update: After reworking my design, I've reduced the width of the end spacers by 3mm and increased the center spacer by 6mm. I've also uploaded the revised files with clear labels indicating that they're designed for wide spools.
