Ender 3 filament guide with Z-axis bearing support
thingiverse
I printed and used the excellent original part by pberenyi, but found one significant problem with it: When I reached the top of my Z axis travel, the extruder and knob collided with the support structure for this bracket. Additionally, I couldn't use my Z-axis knob effectively. To resolve this issue, I decided to remove my Z-axis knob since I rarely needed it. This helped a lot. I also reduced the size of the extruder knob, which improved things further. Next, I worked on modifying the structure by raising and thinning it out so that it now only engages with the top of the Z lead screw while still providing good support. While experimenting with Tinkercad, I learned new techniques and refined my skills. This led to the creation of a revised version of the part. To prevent everything from crashing together, I shrank the extruder knob even further. I hope that others can use this design as well.
